RE: Quality in Patient Diagnosis

Myron commented on my closing quote from Russell Ackoff.  I'm not sure of the exact purpose for which Ackoff stated the quote, but I attached it to my messages for the nonce hoping that people might ask me about it, and I would then have a chance to explain along similar lines to Myron's comments.  To me, the quote means:  profit, like breathing, is necessary for existence, but the purpose of business is beyond profit just as the purpose of life is beyond breathing.  Still, perhaps the quotation seems easily interpreted on its face in a way that is contradictory to what I hoped it would do.  I liked Myron's Bata quote also and so have changed my quoteline to Bata!
