Question not answered as of yet

While it have become lost in cyberspace when last sent, I have yet to read a
response to the question I asked about "What is a system compared to a
process in relationship to arriving at some financial underwriting budget?".
As I see it, I can ask my people to tell me about their process and they tell
me what they are doing. And when I ask them to tell me about the system they
used to create the process, they speak very differently.

I had a very interesting conversation with a world recognized management
expert the other day. Froim it it came the aim (exercise) "to teach one group
of non-management experts how to generically see (similarly describe) all
other systems existing outside their own world using the same operation
definitions language as if they were an a social situtation where nobody
attending worked the same industry and they had to describe (communicate) in
60 seconds their business process in terms of system thinking." Try it. I
was fun and deadly enlightening. We both laughed how the art and science of
management can be it own worst student.

I'll be happy to do this privately if anyone wishes. All one has to do is
select 3 unlike businesses and tell me what they see in 60 seconds. Remember,
you have to communicate a fundamental, generic system thinking approach that
transfers to each and you are speaking to a non-management expert.
