ADTRANZ SIGNAL -  A CONTINUING TRANSFORMATION

Adtranz is the largest International Company in the rail industry.  Since 1997 
the organisation has gone through many changes whilst at the same time seeking 
to transform from its historical rigid functional engineering culture to a 
flexible project oriented business.  Dave Kerr of Adtranz and Paul Cox of VISTA 
Consulting have worked closely together during this time and will lead this 
interactive session, engaging participants in  the ongoing story of 
transformation in Adtranz and in particular, some key questions and issues such 
as:
Using a principles based approach and explicitly engaging the whole system
The need to engage leadership in alignment
Constancy of purpose - continuous, linked PDSA cycles
Support to the effort - building capability in the system and maintaining 
momentum
Work on behaviours - more than competencies
Sustainability and effectiveness?
SPEAKERS
David Kerr CEng
David currently leads a small group of internal change agents who work 
principally in the area of facilitating change in the project management 
process. He has twenty six years experience working in the areas of signalling 
systems engineering, project engineering & project management.
Paul Cox
A founder member of Vista, which specialises in a principles based approaches 
to change that produces vision, energy and commitment to create faster 
system-wide change. His work has been with public and private sector 
organisations in Europe, South Africa and America.
