I think semantics is confusing the discussion on
chaos. Wheeler pointed out in one of his training sessions that chaos and
non-predictive are not necessarily the same. A system could be chaotic and
also predictable. Thus I think the term 'non-predictable" fits the
discussion better. He also mentions entropy as a dynamic that moves the
process into the non predictable state because of wear and tear. Repairing
the effects of entropy requires knowledge because the effect will dominate
the process and force it into the state of chaos. Page 25-28 in Advanced T
in SPC by Wheelers confused the group some but we were neophytes at the
time. I still have to redefine chaos and non predictable when I read about
them, it is easy to get confused.
