David Langford's daughter sent another letter from Australia. I
thought you might find it interesting. I have excised a name or
two... to protect the guilty.

Dad
Hey there,
Mr. Ds' maths class is going really well I think. I spent a day
or so in there, a couple days actually and explained flowcharts and
matrixes and then got them started on how to document their maths and
what would be ways to apply it outside of the classroom. And then the
other day he had me come in and explain how to do a brainstorming
exercise and then had them come up with a HUGE list of ways as to how
to move their concepts out of the information category, (i.e.
explaining it to others, making up NEW problems etc.) so that was
pretty cool, and the class is really getting the hang of it, funny
that, ;-) All sarcasm aside, they really are doing very well and it's
cool just to watch them go at it.
Psychology is rather boring at the moment, because I know most of the
material and Mr. L isn't even there all of the time. He just has us
take notes and I get so frustrated because it's such an interesting
subject and he could be doing SO MUCH with it that it's really
annoying just to sit and watch kids not like psychology just because
they think that it's the teacher's job to make it interesting and when
he doesn't do it the class isn't worth investing their own time it.
Aughhhh!! I thought of an experiment the other day, I think it would
be really cool to watch the pecking order of chickens and then take
one away and see how they react and then compare that to society and
how we, as humans, or high schoolers have a pecking order...
I will talk to you soon,

There is no such thing as an immaculate perception. What you see
depends upon what you thought before you looked.
