I agree with all of the 14 points. I am in the position to agree but not
to generate massive change. Those who are in the driver's seat tend to be
in Denial, or Anger, or Bartering, or Depression. It will take a while to
get to acceptance.
Ideas that send directors back to school are hard to implement. I think
this is because, those who perceive themselves in control want to make sure
of their power, now and in the future, before they change.
Ideas that challenge what our distinctive schools of learning, teach, are
not readily accepted because those directors also want to make sure they do
not loose their personal identity and position or heaven forbid get our of
the other side of the bed in the morning.
Don't get me wrong! We need those who keep our country stable and strong.
The rub is that of redefining what keeps our country stongly stable, means
now and, redefining what will keep it as strongly stable 100 years from now.
Just because we cooperate does not mean that we are weak. Just because we
show compassion does not mean that we are weak. Those in power need to
learn how to cooperate for the benefit of the world, the country, the state,
the city, the neighborhood, the house, the individual. Without us
individuals, those in charge have no positions, hence most of their identity
is missing.
What is it that will get us in those space ships and on to other planets?
What is it that will allow us to colonize under the ocean (under the
earth)?
We will not have a very good future if we look for change using the same
methodology.
The 14 points are a different methodology. Just trying to implement them
where I am, has cause us to work a lot smarter than harder. All we have is
a reference to them in our strategic plan and spotted areas of attempts at
incorporating them. I think that the system prevents full incorporation to
the specifics. In a general sense we can incorporate them in the
governments offices.
Large companies and the government offices are filled with people who want
the specifics.
I think it is not the 14 points but the people. The 14 points break down
barriers and most people live for those barriers because they are familiar
and dependable.
Think about it.
Respectfully,
Charlie
