RE: Human Processes Absent ?
Stein,
"These are missing, right?
Do you know where else I can find profound materials
on this subject?
Any book on the subject which is well in line with Deming?"
You are absolutely right that there are unstated assumptions about the
nature of social existence and the self. In my mind these explain much of
the difference between Deming-in-Japan and Deming-in-the-USA. If you start
from the premise of trying to compare one person's perception of a situation
to another's to see which reflects some external reality, you have already
fragmented the system you purport to be studying.
I suggest you read a short book by David Bohm, "On Dialogue". Bohm
understood the nature of thought at the same level Deming understood the
nature of industrial processes. The system of thinking together determines
what will be thought. Incoherent thinking cannot lead to effective action.
There is a superficial conflict with Deming in that you have to refine the
concept of what can be known explicitly about the goals of a system.
Good luck,
Aidan
