RE: comments on six sigma



  I want to apologize for being so long winded again.  I think we have
missed a point or two.

  My theory is that we were not throwing stones.  Communications styles are
different.  I think that reduction of variation starts with raising the
lower control limit.  Including the slowest team member is similar to this.

  The whole world is a bell curve in the realm of probability.  We push the
curve with cheap slave labor (and many other activities).  This issue (with
others), we leave for our children to resolve, when we are in the ideal time
and window to build that into our system.  
  Putting the extra money into a reserve fund to draw interest.  This
interest will help support those in the specific country who show to the
United Nations that they are working at eliminating the cheap labor, slave
labor.  They must also be working with the economics of the countries.
  99.4 percent or more of the world population are doing the best they can.

  We reward 20% of the world with an awful lot.  Our CEO's throughout the
world have a responsibility to take action on this.  Reduction of conflicts
results from providing education and a means to exercise that education with
pride.  
  CEO's for years have collected profits and passed on profits.  The
application of profit toward feeding and educating the world is the
responsibility of all CEO's throughout the world too.  CEO's have deferred
this responsibility to the church and government for generations.  Then
CEO's spend money to sway the actions of the church or government.  This is
waste.  If The CEO's develop constancy of purpose and share that in
community with the church and government, our lobbyist can be used as
facilitators to help in reduction of conflicts and feeding and educating the
world.  They could be paid with some of the interest of the reserve fund
that I recommended in one of the above paragraphs.
  CEO's, churches and government in each country must be active in
supporting our world's needs for guaranteeing the survival of the human
race.  I think that is why Dr. Deming held to the law of probability.  I
think he felt that 99.4 percent of the human race fell within the bell.  We
have trouble dealing with the .6 percent outside the bell, because we do not
have constancy of purpose (we make laws to restrict the mass because of the
.6 percent instead of understanding variation).  
  Understanding variation as it applies to the law of probability and what I
know about the deming philosophy requires that we start with education and
end with education.  It also requires that we build self esteem through
nurturing joy and pride of work.  
  Another of my theories is that the bell will move and variation will
reduce if we educate and nurture joy and pride of work.  CEO's will be
challenged to continue their education too and that may be the challenge
that most CEO's are not up to accepting it.    
  
  Another thought:
  Work needs to be included with retirement and vacations if we want more
from one another.
  Retirement and Vacations are the experiencing of joy and pride in what I
do!!!
