Dear Bob,

Perhaps it is a good idea to tell us the cost of coordination.
Mr Mintzberg is a man for organizations study and he certainly discussed
about certain problems of communication and coordination in various
types of organization.
In their field, one joke by H. A. Simon is that when people don't know
what they are talking about, they claim it must be a coordination
problem. I mailed to Simon and suggested that another magic word is
'leadership' in 1999.(By the way, Simon did discuss coordination in his
Administrative Behavior. He also discussed about assessment of 'quality'
in commentary section of Efficiency chapter.)

Sometimes new concept like' cost of information' by Arrow among others
is a very powerful one. Some other economist like North also created
many interesting 'cost of xxx' which are not very inspiring, IMHO, COQ
is among this category.

Some scientists are trying to push the frontiers of WED's unknown and
unknowable. I think we can learn a lot from them (models).

Yes, please tell us more about the cost of coordination. Bob, you did
bring about one potential interesting 'COC'in management studies,
including various prize application or certifications.

In WAS's context, he might like us to discuss various aspects of Nature
and Origin of Standards of Quality and their economic consequences.

Just some thought for your reference. How much do you think the price of
recent DEN overloading...

P. S. Thanks for the DENizen to mention about 'Have a good time' as the
15th point. WED might like to consider it is the starting point of his
management obligations and teachings.
