According to many conversations with WED, when I was guest speaking at the 
four day sessions (or at Ron Moen's companion 2 dayers), he stated that, 
indeed he BEGAN his insight with variation, and then, in his 
never-ending-improvement/evolving nature of his own knowledge came to 
understand that there was no possible valid knowledge of variation, or of its 
meaning without pre-knowledge/ appreciation of THE SYSTEM and THE AIM of that 
system. I recall many dinners when WED led us through that process of growth. 
Indeed, that's part of why he called it PROFOUND (PRO = before, beyond; FOUND 
[from the Latin "fundus"] = the foundation/the depths).

Start with variation? Yup. And stayed there? Nope! That would not be 
"never-ending-improvement."
