I may have asked you this before, but is the method you describe here a 
version of ICC -- interclass correlation.  As I am recalling ICC also tells 
whether the judges hang together in a certain kind of way.  The example I am 
think of is the Olympic judging of skaters and gymnasts and the issue of 
whether there was evidence of political block voting.
