Great description!  It reminds me of reading a journal article by Hank Simms 
of Univ. of Md. (another closet Skinnerian) I happened to see him after my 
wife defended and told him, "Oh yeah, I read your paper: "How to get the most 
bang for your Punishment Buck!".  I don't think, he got it.
