REQUEST: Deming deployment

i am a quality director at amex - i have spent the better part of the past 2 years reading and studying deming philosphies.  it appears that in many instances it goes counter to the traditional ways of thinking - i find myself constantly wondering why is it that if this appraoach is so clear to me, i have a hard time convincing others to embrace it. my question is the following: could you point me to an organization which has succesfully deployed the philosophies. someone who has embraced the approach and has reaped success in their industry.
