I would propose that the only good training one is likely to receive, and
this would include the data-filled meetings we all love, is that training or
discussion led by someone who obviously knows the subject, and if he or she
does not love it, at least there is sufficient personal interest to enable a
good presentation to be given which leaves the participants with some sense
of being glad they were participants.

Anything less is time and effort wasted.
