At the risk of making a "me too" append to this list, I have to say that I
couldn't agree more with the statement above. I've always been impressed by
the way Deming appeared to deflect credit away from himself at every
opportunity. He was scrupulous about identifying the source of every story
he told, idea he put forth, quote he employed, etc. Whatever one feels about
the man or his message, to paint him as someone who was always taking credit
for the work of others is either sheer ignorance or simple slander.
