RE: Why indeed

My theory is that we are continually educating and self improving
throughout our life. We keep it seperate from work because we are taught
to. Those who were fortunate enough to be nurtured in the life long
learning aspect, include that as part of their occupation and are usually in
the, "Professional Jobs". Begining with education and ending with education
is what we do in life. While at work, we leave our head and hearts in the
standby mode because we were taught to. Dr. Deming was trying to lead us
out of the standby mode. CEO's, managers and employees.

Let's take the side of discouraging education and self improvement. Let's
take the side of not offering an opinion one way of the other.
Let's just look at our job as being the things we are required to do. We
have trained for our job and then we get that job. We stay at that job for
what reason?
Now we have a steady job. We have a group of friends. We, as a group
decide to start square dancing.
  This cost additional money.
We are now square dancing once or twice a week. We want to get better at
square dancing so what do we do?
We develop more friendships. We decide that we want to bowl as well as
square dance. What do we do?
We need more cash flow so we start our in house business as well as
working our regular job.
What will give us more income so we can square dance more and bowl more?
  We discover new tax strategies.

Say we want to mountain climb. Say that we want to learn how to glide.
We want to collect stamps. We want to read more fictional books and we
want to join the Star Trek Community.
But........ We do not want to further our education our improve
ourselves!!!

Think about it? How do you feel about it?
  Respectfully,
  Charlie
