Some managers have found that treating people with dignity and respect and
being honest with them has a positive effect on morale.  I guess you already
know that.  Doesn't your morale improve when you are treated with dignity
and respect.  Don't you have a more positive attitude when you are able to
take pride and joy in your work and your managers and co-workers are open
and honest?

Deming, I suppose, would say, "All anyone ever asks for is a chance to take
joy in his work."  Your efforts might be directed in that area.

I don't think I have any data to support either of these suggestions.
