I agree.
The Leander, Texas school district has worked closely with David Langford for years. David started his work with Deming's ideas with Mt. Edgecume High School. They have continued to move forward and their web site is worth visiting:
www.mehs.educ.state.ak.us/quality.html
And Alfie Kohn has great ideas on this whole area (he often mentions the dangers of applying "Quality" to learning), see his recent books and you can locate a number of his articels (including "Turning Learning Into a Business: Concerns About Total Quality", "Students Don't 'Work'--They Learn" and "From Degrading to De-Grading") by searching for Kohn in our library. You can also visit Alfie's web site:
www.alfiekohn.org
At the University level I think:
www.wisc.edu/improve/
is a site worth visiting (they also link to many other university learning improvement sites).
