Clarification

I recently submitted a post to the DEN list that mentioned that Henry Neave
and David Kerridge were 'academics'. The message I received criticized me
for saying they were 'only' academics. I'm afraid that is the the 'eye of
the beholder' as I did not use the word 'only' in my post.

I was trying to indicate to the original poster that if he wanted teachers
or similar materials he might rely on Jean-Marie's recommendation of Henry
or David as being excellent resources. I suggesting that if he (the
originial poster) was more interested in the practice aspects that Heero was
a person with expertise who also had experience in working in the Defense
Industry specifically.

I do think there is an advantage to a client if a consultant has worked in
their particular industry in the past. I have worked extensively, for
example, in the healthcare and electronics industries and I feel that offers
the potential client some saving in terms of teaching me about their
business.

I wouldn't suggest that means that those who haven't had that experience
would be unable to help.

I've known Henry for nearly 20 years and David for probably half that long
and have nothing but the highest regard for them both.

My apologies to them if my remarks were misconstrued.
