Re: Punishment/rewards (introverts vs ext.)

Having remembered some of the past posts regarding this subject, I recently
noticed a report on some research when seemed interesting to me and may be to
others (but perhaps "old hat" to some). Extraverts' (high in measures of
sociability, assertiveness, and impulsivity) performance increased with
signals of reward more than signals of punishment; intraverts performance
increased with signals of punishment more than with signals of reward.
Intraverts did much better on tasks that were not anxiety producing (e.g. not
timed); extraverts performed better under pressure. The researchers reported
that cortical arousal is more easily stimulated in introverts (I can't tell
you much about the actual research because I haven't read it; has anyone
else?) There's more, but enough for now--have you heard of this difference
regarding intro/extroverts; would it matter to Deming?
