Thanks for the revised version.You might like to read G. Bateson's books and do some reporting for us if possible.Prof. Johnson's speech is only a first steps.) Bateson's family expertise in the domain you are trying for is an asset.
In addition to your quoted sources, there are many other related principles from cybernetics in' 50s and other fields. For a brief review, I read Keneth D. Bailey's Sociology and the New Systems Theory, State Univ. of New York.(Most sociologists ignore this book which suggested some schools using 'minima variations' as the objective function .) I don't know
whether Dr. Deming read some theories of Prof. Ackoff's On Purposeful Systems ( 1972)or not.
