I did not know Dr Deming personally. Whenever someone speaks to me about
"Deming" or if I am asked to describe the "Deming philosophy" or generally
ask me about "Deming" I use the more formal in answering. For me it is a
matter of how I was schooled and raised - to show respect. Plus, those who
knew and worked with Dr Deming who are now my teachers and mentors speak of
him in the more formal manner.
