Re: Change Resistance (training program acceptance)
Harry Nimon wrote about lack of acceptance of a clearly superior training
tool in his organization.

Perhaps that is the problem - "Push" is not the goal, nor the method,
particularly in education.
Try "Pull" instead.
Not via "incentives" or "rewards" but from Deming's "joy in work"
perspective.
Those who want to learn will love this new program, if it is truly as
superior as described. They can then promulgate it. Stepwise
implementation by personally involving, and gaining the commitment of,
eager learners and community leaders is an essential first step.
As Ross Alex yesterday quoted Myron Tribus' email tag-line, "a man
convinced against his will is of the same opinion still"...
Who is your customer? Will force-feeding this customer work, or will a
pull-mode system prove mutually beneficial?
