Will,

Would you agree with the word "scope", as in "what is the scope of the 
Deming philosophy?". Then we could say things such as "that is beyond the scope of the Deming philosophy, that is not a question which Deming addressed". I'm sure Deming must have spoke to this. I wondered if Hanching's question was one of scope.
