Need for cooperation



One of the key teaching's of Deming's management concept is the essential 
need to build collaboration between system elements and end competition. This 
assures win-win (Vs. win-lose), and maximizes the benefits to the total 
system. An article illustrating just that specific need, and the problems of 
what happens when we don't (i.e., when we focus on the "part" Vs. the 
system), and how we are harming our young people by failing in this effort, 
was featured in the Wednesday edition of my local paper here in the 
California capital, the "Sacramento Bee." The article is titled: "Report
