Thanks to Aidan Ward for the great comments on systems.  In our courses on 
Deming we follow the same path by adding the works of Fritjof Capra on living 
systems as a natural extension of/supplement to WED's teachings. We shift the 
phrase from "survival of the fittest," to "survival of the 'fittingest'."
