May I ask how you know what Dr. Deming was or was not aware of?   I would
say, based on my listening to him, that he was well aware of the 'complex
network of commitments; to which you refer.  Else, why would he be so
insistent on starting at the top.  I'm not sure what you mean when you say
'...needed to drive action.'

I also am intensely curious of those who have 'achieved transformational
results' as it seems so rare.   What results is it that you have achieved
and how do you feel that your intervention helped to bring that about?
