The posting Robert Crow describing the results of testing in an 
Atlanta School seemed, to me, to illustrate the wisdom of the remark 
by Vygotsky: "The only legitimate purpose of an examination is for 
teacher and learner to decide what to do next".

Experience is a great teacher but there is a shortage of pupils.
