RE: System of Profound Knowledge
Denizens,
Here are some straightforward questions worthy of their subject.
>
> How can it be established that a person has acquired profound

> that a person is capable of making use of profound knowledge?
Profound knowledge is more about self than about externals, certainly in the
way that it acts. It is about knowing the roots of effective action in
changing the systems we encounter, and these are not, of course, in those
systems. The reason why it is so rare is that people search the external
world for what is basically an internal change. It seems to have disparate
components or dimensions but these point to a radical notion of perceiving a
unified whole.
Profound knowledge cannot be established from the outside though someone
with profound knowledge might well recognise someone else with similar
understanding.
> Can profound
> knowledge be easily transferred, or does it apply to knowledge and

> or industries?
Profound knowledge does not need to be transferred. But it probably is
culturally located and specific to a certain degree. I would not lightly
assume that my limited knowledge (see below) would give me insight into the
systems of a culture I had not worked in.
These statements are based on many observations and readings in the growth
of maturity and profundity in management thinking. I can see the effects
without claiming any special profundity for myself.
