Dr. Orsini on examples

I remember at the next to last 4 day conference Dr. Deming gave (Richmond, VA). I stood up very proud and asked him if he could give examples of so and so. A great question I thought. Dr. Deming just let me stand there in silence - it seemed like 5 minutes before he finally solicited another question from the audience. I still can't say that I understand what was there, but I think it has something to do with the idea that no number of examples "proves" a theory. I'll never forget standing there like a sore thumb. He did it for a reason. I imagine Joyce Orsini has a well thought out reason for saying what she said about plumbing examples.
Wouldn't it be a treat if Joyce would share her thinking here? She could brighten most of the threads here in the DEN.
