To the comments made in this insightful editorial, I'll add the
quote from D.J. Burroughs article in the AZ Republic, wherein he
quoted Jack Welch as saying:

"A company that bets it's future on it's people must remove that
lower 10 percent, and keep removing it every year - always raising
the bar of performance and increasing the quality of it's
leadership."

Psssst, Jack, guess what?
