Re: SPC Theory Question
Hello Denizens. First of all, I would like to thank the various posts
regarding my original question, honestly, they have been very educational.
After analysing various posts, I have yet another question (sorry!!!,
jejeje):
Not being a statician myself, what I'm about to say might sound very bad to
many, but isn't it better to have many managers start using the X-mov R
chart to have them apply variation concepts, even in situations where it is
not the right chart, instead scaring them away by trying to be statistically
rigorous?
Another way to put it would be: in practice, how statistically rigorous do
we have to be?
Isn't this a case of finding a practical optimum?
Thanks in advance for any comments.
