It seems to me:
Any variation in people, environment, equipment, materials, or methods at any
given moment can create data points outside determined control limits.
Whether special or common shouldn't these be subject to "by what method" the
influencing element(s) is being measured? I have an audio where Deming says,
"Sometimes there will be defects where the cause will never be known". Can we
call it special or common then? Do you think maybe there needs to be a new
operational definition--"unknown cause" when using the control chart in the
RB experiment?
