Kudzu- any proliferating management fad-or simply dumb concept- that 
overtakes and eventually strangles a company or organization.

(for those not familiar with the Kudzu vine, it was imported from eastern 
Asia to the US to prevent erosion in the Southeast, but having no natural 
enemy except freezing cold, has grown to become a very powerful nuisance.) 

This could become a valuable addition to our vocabulary as in "Deming's 
quality approach is not Krudzu."
