Seems to me there is only the need one define teh man's operational
definitions for it to be understood--
just like myself when once I tried to get a definition for what a process is
verses a system? Most management experts I've read appear to treat these
operational terms as the same thing where in a Deming audio he drew a
distinction. Then again Deming later said "A System of Profound Knowledge"
where he contradicted himself--can we have it both ways then? I would like to
know what the definition of a system is verses what a process? As an owner of
a few companies where we began from scratch and tried to establish effective
business communications using Deming as the the language,I am not sure what
effective business communications mean? It sounds like a formula or
something? My business history tells me there is no such thing as the number
of people in a company grows--or maybe this is really no effective
communication quality? I'll have the ponder this? As for Marketing 101,
having spent considerable dollars in this areas, marketing is about
developing an awareness (education) verses advertising which calls upon the
customer to act. So I do not understand the use of either here?
I stand ready to learn why a process ands system are treated the same? Doing
so does not make effective buisness communincations, only more waste I think.
