Below is the formal invitation to attend what I hope will
be a valuable conference this April in southern California.
The BADUG notes have had a brief reference to it for a
couple of months, and I wanted to send you the full set
of details in this note.

Please check out the on-line brochure -- If you would
like copies to distribute, let me know and I will send
them to you.  Consider others you know who might be
interested and forward this note to them.  Registering in
the next 4 weeks will probably get you the best travel
and lodging rates.

You are invited to attend "Creating New ROIs:
Tranforming the Economics of the 21st Century",
the inaugural Forum of the In2:InThinking Network.
The Forum is designed for those who believe there is
still much to learn about how each of us can make a
difference in the improvement of our work, community
and personal lives.  Scheduled for April 19-21, 2002,
it will be based on the work of Dr. Deming, Peter
Senge, Edward DeBono, and others.  Presentations of
start-of-the-art theory, as well as practical
experience, will be offered.  A brochure is available

and I encourage you to download a copy to review in
detail the comprehensive agenda that is planned.

Developed by a group of volunteers from Deming
Groups along the U.S. west coast, the Forum will
provide valuable learning and connection for all levels.
Sponsors include The Boeing Company, The W. Edwards
Deming Institute, and many others.  A pre-conference
seminar will be offered April 18-19 and can be
utilized by those who want to gain a sense of basic
tools and principles before attending the weekend
conference.  The Forum also provides ample opportunity
for meeting others who share interests in the
important topics that will be covered.  The fees for
the entire Forum are only $250.00 and may be paid by
check or money order.

The Forum will be held in Los Angeles, California,
specifically in the Woodland Hills / Canoga Park area
west of Pasadena.  The brochure mentioned above provides
recommendations for lodging and closest airports.

Since the Forum is being put together by volunteers,
much of our publicity depends upon word-of-mouth.  I
hope you have found this invitation helpful.  If you

opportunities the Forum offers is the chance for
others to know that there continues to be a strong
interest among those around them toward improvement
