I like John Carrow's discussion of management processes. I suppose
that I like it because he begins by discussing chemical engineering
process design and equipment design. Since I spent some time doing
the same things (in one of my prior incarnations) I easily identified
with his descriptions.
I would only add one idea to his presentation. If instead of
drawing the chemical engineer's flow diagram for a process, we use a
"Deployment Flow Chart", then BOTH the system and the process appear
on one sheet of paper. Across the top of the page, the components
of the system appear, and provide a coordinate system for process
elements. These components are described by nouns. The process
elements appear as 'verb-like' elements in the diagram, linked to the
components of the system by where they appear in the diagram.

believe they possess all of it today. (E. T. Jaynes)
