Beta testers needed

DENizens,

[Moderator's Note: This is a bit tangential to our Aim - yet the
possibility of providing a Deming-based input into a modeling software
seems to make it worth a shot.]

The following comes from a new subscriber: Allen Woods at
allenwoods@jit-software.com

I came across Deming and his fourteen points just a couple of weeks ago,
during the course of my research and work. For the past four years I
have been developing organisation modeling software the aim of which is
to provide the means to describe in a structured way, the way an
organisation works. I belong to a number of organisations that have an
interest in management and IS/IT design theory. One subject that has
cropped
up in the UK Performance Management Association, is the concept of
"strategy mapping" (SM). The software I have lends itself to "strategy
mapping" and for the past month or so I have been developing the code
that I think will support SM.

I work on my own, and I was wondering if there were people in the Deming
community who would be interested in playing with the software when it
is ready and providing some feedback. I hope people will be because it
gives a chance for people who have different approaches to management
theory to get together.

Thanks once again for the response.

Take care

Allen :-))
