Isn't this what we as leaders strive for? To be able to leave for an
extended time, and be sure that our operation is continuing to function
without our daily presence?

Of course, for me the answer is an emphatic "Yes!".

That is why we develop a team of independent thinkers, who know and
understand the leader's instructions and who appreciate that the leader is
always responsible for the operation.

How can we train the managers and leaders who will follow us if we don't
allow them to learn under us?
