I don't like the use of the word "Objective" in this context because it can
be so confusing. The primary meaning of "objective" is the opposite of
"subjective". It also can mean a lens in an optical instrument that is
nearest the object. Finally it can also mean "characterised by objecting".
In my version of the Oxford English Dictionary, the phrase "objective point"
was originally a military phrase meaning "the point towards which the
advance of troops is directed."
For me, the word "aim" is simpler and makes more sense in common English.
