SO?

Why does an organisation need to be creative? Why does it need to be
anything other than stable with a bit of innovation around the edges.
Many things are delivered by stable orgs and there is no problem in
that. The delivery of the post works well - despite the massive
losses that are made by the org - I can send a letter from Lands End
to John O'Groats (full length of the British mainland) as it costs to
send it to the next village. It costs me nothing to have my post
delivered no matter where I live etc. This is a process that works
well and only needs addressing if you think that all things of social
value should make a profit.

So I guess the shape of your org is dependent on what you wish to
acheive. If you are the post office then you may well wish to have
an organisation that is typified by a sphere, however if you are XYZ
Innovation and Creativity Corp you may well be hampered by the
stability and lack of redundancy a sphere offers.
