The Wrath of Kohn Revisited

Ms. Karin Litzeke's comments demonstrates a total lack of understanding of the concepts
of systems and should demonstrate why the work of the den list is so
important. Even a person doing welding will be subjected to new technology
and changes in the industry that will require the learning of new skills.
The welder will be living in a much larger system that is constantly
changing and will require him/her to continually learn throughout their life.
Teachers work in the system and are at times victoms on the system. These
hugh educational systems did not grow because of the failure of teachers,
but for many reasons, one of which should be to support the teacher and
enable him/her to be more effective in the classroom. Unfortunately what
has happened in many cases is just the opposit.
Thank you for the many responses to my question regarding testing and
accountability. I have read them all and actually printed them out.
