Thanks to Bob for his keen and insightful post. Often we fail to realize the
influence of a great leader, thinker, etc. in that we fail to see the
patterns and influence in his/her thinking continued 'beyond the grave,' so
to speak. In Dr. Deming's case, his influence will continue to be felt every
time that quality is mentioned and men gather to put their continuous
improvement thinking caps on.
Dr. Deming (quoting the Bible) said it best: There is nothing new under the
sun, it just gets a fresh coat of paint on it once in a while.
