Hello DENizens,
I am writing with a question regarding Dr. Deming's role
during World War 2. According to an article I just read (linked below:

age?topicID=8.topic ), US superiority in manufacturing more than offset
periodic German advances in technology. Much of the description about how
the Americans transitioned from design engineering to mass production had
all the earmarks of Deming's work, e.g., production process evaluation and
design, verification, statistical control, etc. I was just wondering if
anyone could share any insights what role, if any, Deming played in building
America's incredible military production capacity. Thanks.
Regards,
Craig
