Unethical SIte

[Moderator's Note:  Some folks complained here about the Columbia Deming Center site and their Deming
Cup.  Del decided to take it a step further and contact them with nhis feelings - which many here share.
His note to them follows:

Aside from quoting Dr. Deming, and stealing his name, I believe your site has 
not only no relationship to the teachings of Dr. W. Edwards Deming but, 
through such nonsense as six sigma and "revenue optimization" is actually 
opposed to his teachings. This is, in my opinion an unethical use of his name 
and a disservice to honest education.

I base this on having worked with Dr. Deming for several years, 
lecturing/presenting at his 4-day seminars, and directly teaching well over 
1,000 students what his approach really means. 

I am sorry to see such an institution as Columbia completely, in my opinion, 
join the ranks of ENRON and WorldCom in placing dollars before ethics and 
human beings.
