Dr Batalden is the course teacher for this. Dr Batalden was with HCA as its
Corporate VP for Quality before HCA was sold. He went on to Dartmouth where
he is teaching physicians, residents and interns the power of continuous
improvement based on Dr Deming's work. Paul at HCA helped assemble and
taught in a world class premier Quality 101 type course for healthcare
professionals. He is one of the foundersr and current board member of the
Institute for Healthcare Improvement. He is mentioned in Out of the Crisis,
pages 199 through 203 describing the 14 points for medical services.
