Re: Systems Intelligence & Deming Druid Metaphor

James:

What would you call the ontological elements of Dr. Deming's system? Would they be his 4 components? Would they be his 14 points? Would it include others? I think the entire system of profound knowledge would be well served to expand and include some Ontological thinking in the Theory of Knowledge component. Of course then it would impact appreciation for a system, psychology and understanding variation. A little influx of ontology may even add a more practical element to the theoretical nature of the SoPK. I think Dr. Deming and Dr. Shewhart would be all for that. Maybe they wouldn't be. I've got a suspicion that another element that adds conceptual pragmatism would be useful.

Bob

ps. appreciation for a system could benefit particulary from some ontological thinking - Heideggerian (sp?) continental philosophy would be a good addition in my opinion
