Respectfully, I write this.
I want to join the undercurrent of thinking out of the box.
Any social community of people develop methods for filtering out at and to
different levels or areas.
One method of keeping a moron (using the socially acceptable definition
for moron) from leading a country is I. Q. I.Q. evaluation is one example
of filtering.
In ways, thinking out of the box, separates from the socially acceptable
filtering systems.
Those who are real successful in a social community, knowingly or
unknowingly have been filtered to the top.
The unknown and unknowable have taken place without being given
recognition. We thank Our Supreme Being. We thank people who have worked
with and for us. How can we thank the unknown and unknowable?
My point is that the human is very adaptable. Lets Take one core activity
to focus on when moving upstream in life, to our first years. Intrinsic is
more than likely the first motivation exercised at our beginning.
Do we need extrinsic motivation?
Our social community would filter me out big time if I said that we do not
need extrinsic motivation at all. If I said that we can kiazen our quality
of life if we use intrinsic motivation only, the drums would start ( I am
not implying that Dr. Deming supported the use of only intrinsic
motivation). I am thinking out of the box.
All our famous people have been filtered to the top.
Dr. Deming became and outsider then came back.
Our social community attempts to filter his philosophy out because Our
System Managers are color blind (or looking at situations and people through
different glasses).
A system can not identify itself without the assistance of the larger
system(s) it is a part of.
Our business system is a part of a larger system(s).
Extrinsic motivation is used very extensively in our business system and
each larger system. Professors as well as CEO's who would openly encourage
and support other than that may not profess or manage for much longer.
Conclusion. Intrinsically motivated people are more free to think out of
the box and to use intuition.
They have fun and/or enjoy doing it too.
Very respectfully,
Charlie
