I recall Dr Deming making a very strong point about our "right" to work/a job. I think he was drawing attention to the practise of destroying jobs through programmes such as BPR at the time, versus his philosophy of creating "jobs, and more jobs".

He made the statement that "We all have a RIGHT to work".

Why do we have a right to work, and what is that 'right'?
