RE: Did Phil Crosby learn frok Dr. Deming?

I believe it would be safe to say that Dr. Deming and Mr. Crosby formulated
their approaches independently, and became aware of each other's work after
the fact.  If you wish to compare the two approaches, I would recommend
reading Mr. Crosby's "Quality Is Free" and "The Eternally Successful
Organization" and Dr. Deming's "Out Of The Crisis" (the last time I checked
"The New Economics" was out of print). ***

My personal opinion is that Dr. Deming and Mr. Crosby created quite
different approaches and neither could be considered derivative of the
other.  I will leave it up to the reader to determine which approach is more
complete.
